Hello. I've been periodically checking out Objects in Space for quite some time to see how it's going and I'm glad there is progress - judging from podcasts. Also congrats on PAX showcase thing!
Also, considering the thing, is it safe to assume the premiere of OiS will take place there or in this year? How it will be distributed when launched? Steam, Gog or maybe some different method? I'm ready to throw money at you
The next thing - audio. I really felt in love with asteroids hitting the ship, it's thrilling! I have pretty high hopes to hear some additional sound effects making the background too - distant humming machinery deep inside the ship, beeping devices onboard, maybe some distinct scratching of hard drives, old 2,5'' or 5,25'' floppy disks from time to time.
The music pieces serving as intro/outro of podcasts are from the game soundtrack I suppose. Great stuff! Kind of reminds me all this years (and counting!)I spent on EVE Online. Not to mention something from Mass Effect series can be heard, yet it's not like it. or maybe I didn't heard ME soundtrack for quite some time, and my mind is just playing tricks on me. One way or another, I like it!
I have some questions about the game itself too. The game contains pretty complex mechanics, lot's of stuff around - is there any in-game notepad or drawpad (like simple paint-like) just to scribble things down?
Will the parts of the ship wear itself out naturally, becoming more prone to occasional failures? And if reckless ship manouvering can damage something? It's not exactly small spaceship, so making too sharp turn (in emergency situation) could probably endanger structural integrity of the hull, maybe some small chances of oxygen leaks?
