I guess That's a calculated value, and not what you actually fly?
So If it's 20 Hours of Ingame flight, thats what the Customer knows it will be on average.
Not their Problem If you take a 10h detour, right?
I am sure you thought of more things than I can bring to you in this ost.
Because I do not know your Brain personally, and "how far you are, I will just throw you my Ideas.
Please don't be angry, if you already thought of them.
Just mention parts you did not think of, so you save Time answering to this. (If at all, you got better things to do)
-This Formular does not deal with Kill contracts, but you surely noticed
-So If this Formular is for delivery Contracts only: You get 50Credits per Jump. --- in the live tweet the fee was only like 22C. so i guess this includes "how far you have to travel" cost and like "Fuel". Do you get half the Jump fee upfront, so you certainly can do these jumps?
And: If you (in general) get this double value of Jump Gate cost: doesn't that stack too much with pre determined travel time in some occasions?
-Does the 50C/Jump Fee also apply after you get your own Jump Drive... because f*ck your jump gates... I got a jump drive myself...
-If yes/no... and the AI knows my ship (they want to know what they put their cargo on): be aware so that player cannot: *Hide his jump drive in the cargo bay
*accept extra Jump fee
*install jump drive the second the contract is signed
*jump off before customer can complain about overpaid double jump gate fee.
@Different algorythms for different factions
-Hard... if you dismiss cargo value... that should be only possible in like... soviet russia ... but then again, things have value... hard to deny Oxygen as less valuable than food, if your filters are busted... in space...
-becasuse you have contracts based on how much the faction likes you (and have blocked contracts before they like you) personal feelings of factions towards you are also brought into account already....
-So I think you can only bring in varianty by cargo type, or by urgency of the contract like:
You already did with cargo type (POD type, illegal etc).
-You then can say: the faster the better...
-You can make one extra bad if the contract is urgent like: "bring these med's to the Areth Expanse or people DIE! we pay you anything if you drop what you are doing now and blast off".
But other than these... its hard to have a flux like that in a world where you know what the movement betwee a jump csts and what value the cargo has and so on.
You only can influence that by giving the player other benefits like: if he needs to buy the cargo forst and they have a way to get it cheaper because they rescued the goldfish of another station owner, then the player has worked for it's extra benefit.
Sorry for bad grammar and spelling. It's like 5:45am and I have to got to work, and I am not a native speaker.
