Reading your post here "In theory you could build a panel that controls the entire game," says Elissa. "There's something like 140 different inputs, in the game generally. At some point, if I ever actually get time, I want to build one of these that isn't designed to go to expos, like in my garage or something. Kind of like how you see people building flight setups or virtual racing.".
I have built flight simulators before, and if there is one thing i have learnt, you need a plan before you start.
Here one i built this year based on Microsoft flight simulator X.
My question is: Do you have a list of all possible inputs and outputs that could be used in this game? I understand that you have a few that are on display with the Mark II Panel, but are there anymore? I am planning on building an entire helm where by you actually get in and sit down with the instruments surrounding you. Before i build the main outer hull, i want to know what controls other than what has actually been shown on the damage, power, weapons and navigation could potentially be tapped into in the game. You say that there are 140 different inputs, and i assume that there are a bunch more outputs than what i can see on those couple of panels, so again, my question is, can we have a list of all possible inputs and outputs so we can better plan for building our game controls?
Many thanks in advance.
