Elissa and I have just dropped up another podcast giving you all the latest on what we've been working on in the game.
Or if you'd prefer, here's a quick run-down of new features / stuff we're currently working on:
Code: A new class of playable ship, the Enceladus, has been fully implemented and is now playable. It's the easiest type of ship frame to make very quiet and stealthy as compared to the Ceres (all rounder) and Proxima (heaviest).
Additionally, several small new features have been added: procedurally-generated dropped cargo in space the player can salvage, passengers they can ferry around for extra money, launchable science probes for long-range scanning, and the advanced factions system for the in-game economy.
Design: Work has switched from narrative content to back-end economy stuff! We've been playing with numbers to balance all the in-game contracts and passenger trips to make sure making money isn't too easy or difficult.
Concept Art: The final concept art work on the Proxima (the last ship we've yet to implement) is nearly complete.
3D Art: The Enceladus class starship has been completed and implemented - this is the most expensive ship in the game. It takes inspiration from sleeker 90s sci-fi, so has a colour scheme and a smoothness similar to that of the Enterprise from TNG.
