Well been a while since I spoke here but I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the beta so far, but I seem to have run into a bug that I can’t easily report, mostly because it isn’t generating a crash report when I encounter it.
Simply put, I had gotten enough cash together to upgrade my sensors, the original ones were okay but the analysis time was horrible alongside the range, good for starting off, bad for trying to figure out where the people with explodey things are quickly. However, after upgrading my sensors to a better model (V. Low Sensor Ghosts, V. Quick Analysis, Medium Strength), every time I click on a station the game seizes up. It doesn’t CTD but instead gives me the traditional “OIS.exe has stopped working” windows popup.
I can idle in space all I want, I can plot as many courses I want, but the second I click on a station in the NavMap, it crashes. That’s about all I can provide in terms of information since this isn’t generating a crash report for me to send in.
Aside from this, been enjoying OIS very much though I would ask if there could possibly be more explanation on the engineering screen in regards to the modules. There is a part of me that wonders if there could be a way to squeeze as much as you can from a device by playing mix-n-match with its components.
Ok so did a bit of digging myself and it seems that the error it is giving me is a Buffer Overflow Exception. I can link the “additional information” segment of the error message if anyone is interested. Already sent that to the gmail address the devs gave us but as it stands now, can’t do anything with either of my saves until this is handled.
