What is the technical issue, specifically? Is it just serialization is hard when you didn’t plan for it?
Regarding game experience; certainly you could somehow limit the behaviour without negatively affecting gameplay. Perhaps by allowing only n saves per excursion or unit of time. Something, anything. This problem is really turning me off. This is a major oversight in a game this buggy and unstable.
(I’m resurrecting this dead thread because I just completed the Maris mission, jumped back to Diwali and was within moments of docking when the game crashed. Not fun.)
